Responding to the Bat Signal…

I’m going to STL for games on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. I won’t allow the ship to sink…just won’t have it. I might even buy a Juan Encarnacion jersey as a measure of last resort.
I’ll be back in IC by Saturday night, so if they’re partying like it’s 1999 (which they’ve been doing for 7 years), I’ll be in attendance. I was gonna try to get a ticket to the Iowa-OSU game, but I must heed a higher call. OSU’s gonna house ‘em anyway.

“OSU’s gonna house ‘em anyway.”
Ok. Look, OSU is #1. And that’s scary–I’ll admit it.
But if you want to talk that kind of shit, you can keep your ass out of IC, especially as Illinois just got their dooky (which doesn’t twinkle) handed to them by the Hawkeyes. You should show some respect, just as I show respect to Illini basketball (although I’ll barf on anyone wearing orange).
If you think that:
A. OSU is going to win and you’re going to strut around with a little smirk
or
B. Iowa is going to win and you can just roll your eyes all night
then goonie-goo-goo, motherfucker. I’ll roll to OCB on Sunday morning like Mario Van Peebles in “Solo.” I don’t need some douchebag making goofy faces at me while I’m taxing biscuits n gravy and then getting ready to destroy some chicken fried steak in the third quarter.
College football is more predictable than professional wrestling. More importantly, the Illini football program MAY be the worst in all of all football programs in the nation (factoring in Illinois as a great source of NCAA talent, their inability to win, etc.).
Good luck with the Cardinals. Is there a more noble grind? I’m not touching this one.

And why aren’t you ridiculously loaded because of your your ability to know the future?
Hey, make some picks for me. My bookie has something else coming.
The Buckeyes are giving up 7 points in case you’re wondering. Am I not entitled to make a judgment based on my immense wisdom? I actually think OSU is too much for Iowa. I don’t think it’s too earth-shattering.
I’ll admit it was a chime.
By the way, I don’t care what the Cardinals do tonight or this weekend for that matter. The result won’t stack up to what’s going on in Iowa this weekend. In other words, the Cardinals are superfluous.
Pumpkin: don’t bother.
