Ol’ Chuck ‘n Pray is on monday night football. I’m glad all the Packer fans get one last tug on the proverbial Fovvra cord before he calls it quits and leaves them in even bigger shambles than they would’ve been if he’d hung it up when the time was right (about 3 years ago).
My point is this: When you see #4 running around, jumping up and down, giving hi-fives and smiling with his boys on the sidelines aftter throwing his third TD and beating the Lions by 7, don’t be fooled. Brett Favre has easily been the most overrated player in the NFL (and perhaps all of sports) for the past 8 years. I’m tired of his act, and I won’t even blink an eye when he goes bye-bye.
He’s a hall of famer…fine. I can’t even begin to make a case that he’s not. His career stats are sick. He also has a ring and 3 consecutive MVPs, and for that I will take my hat off to him as a great player. But if you want to know why I’m tired of this sashay that’s been going on WAY too long, lookie right here (his postseason numbers). Pay close attention to his stats after 1998…he’s been blowing in a big way for 8 years now.
Soooo, Mr. Favre:
The Packers will be better off when you leave. They drafted a guy. It’s been 2 years. He’s thrown 16 passes. 4 and 12, bro…4 and 12. They’re never gonna tell you to leave because there would literally be a mutiny within the franchise.
Go ahead. Keep chuckin it up there…you’re a gunslinger. Push those chips all in every hand you play. That’s fine. You’ll beat the Lions twice this year (so you finish 3rd in your division instead of last)…then light up the Cardinals and the 49ers for the requisite 4- or 5-touchdown performances that will validate your decision to play one more season. Tom Jackson and Steve Young will be crying. After that, you can leave in peace, and we won’t even notice that you threw 20+ picks in your last season and won 4 games. You’ll get a hero’s ride off into the sunset. Or you can do the same song and dance we’re used to. Play, don’t play…obviously, you can do whatever you want (and decide whenver you want).
PS–My proudest moment as a sports fan came when the Broncos beat you in the Super Bowl. Never has a “dynasty” so deservedly been ended. As of that day, you were finished…you just didn’t realize it yet.

I’m not qualified to speak on this issue, but I was flipping through once and I saw that dude throw up the shittiest pass in the most important moment in the 4th quarter. It seemed as if he had his eyes closed. Like it was Pee-wee football and he was hoping his lil’ helmet would stay on.
Spank, I’d cosign to that but I’m not sure which game it was……he’s done it in several. The town wants him out but on his terms. So to help him in the decision they have basically surrounded him with as little as possible to help him to the door. The Packers will be spenders the off-season he goes.
