One of my fav programs is a little one that encrypts your files: Cryptainer.

Cool features: It’s totally free and easy to use. I use it to store my tax records on PDF, my electronic bank information, and a file with all my passwords and usernames.

Downsides:  the free version only allows you to make 25 MB encrypted “containers,” but if you’re using like I do, that will be more than enough. If you’re going to encrypt all your porn so that your husband can’t find it (why assume all porn viewers are male?), you’d have to purchase the program to allow bigger containers. The free version does allow you to make as many 25 MB containers as you want.

Be careful with it. If you forget the password to the container or you lost the location of it, you are totally screwed. Ya ain’t getting your David Hasselhoff jpegs back.
