AP probe finds drugs in drinking water (AP)

A vast array of pharmaceuticals — including antibiotics, anti-convulsants, mood stabilizers and sex hormones — have been found in the drinking water supplies of at least 41 million Americans, an Associated Press investigation shows.

Forget lobbying to make pot legal. You can just chug gobs of tap water until you’re total loony. Your teeth will be great, Mandrake, because of the fluoride in there, and the sex hormones should really liven things up around the house!

So, stop buying Dasani–the real magic is in your own faucet.

Now here’s a brilliant statement:

Pharmaceuticals also can produce side effects and interact with other drugs at normal medical doses. That’s why — aside from therapeutic doses of fluoride injected into potable water supplies — pharmaceuticals are prescribed to people who need them, not delivered to everyone in their drinking water.

No shit? I thought that the government should dump every possible drug into the drinking water so that we can all be healthy. That’s about the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen a reporter put in a story.
