Chelsea: don’t bother.

Chelsea Clinton also got thrown into the middle of another controversy Tuesday while campaigning for her mother at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana.
An audience member asked her whether the Monica Lewinsky scandal had damaged her mother’s credibility.
“Wow, you’re the first person actually that’s ever asked me that question in the, I don’t know maybe, 70 college campuses I’ve now been to, and I do not think that is any of your business,” Clinton responded, appearing a bit surprised.
The crowd immediately cheered loudly at the response. It was supposed to be the last question of the event, but the former first daughter decided to take one more, saying, “I don’t think that should be the last question.”
She was expected to continue campaigning Wednesday, speaking at the University of Notre Dame before teaming up with her mother in Washington for a “March to Victory” event.
Any Star Wars character: “I’ve got a bad feeling about this.”
I’m going to call it out. Chelsea Clinton will get it in her head that she can run for president. I’m predicting it now. Just like W thought he was the Golden Child (and he is, he is), Chelsea will give it a shot.
Just say no to her now. NOW. Not later. NOW.
She will try to tell you that she has campaign experience, that she learned so much by watching daddy and mommy. She will sound like her damn mom. Let’s see what if she pulls out the sniper story.
I am done with the Clintons. Done done done.

Spanks, why you gettin on Chelsea’s case? She handled the question perfectly. If anything, you can only blame her for jumping into this damn cesspool known as White House 08. Let the poor girl be…that’s the point of the Butler story. Her “campaigning” is useless anyway.
I do recall a drunken argument between the Spankster and Bro Taguchi at around 1:30 AM in the Dublin one night about 3-4 years ago. The Spankster was repeatedly pounding the table as he yelled back at Taguchi, “NOBODY DIED WHEN CLINTON LIED!” The 2 friends who were enjoying our company decided they didn’t enjoy it so much and left. Heh.
Yeah, well, I was then saying that Bush is an ass–which I stand by–and I do think the Clintons are asses.
Besides, I was making a comparative judgment. Bill Clinton’s lie was still wrong, Captain Uncharitable.
“An audience member asked her whether the Monica Lewinsky scandal had damaged her mother’s credibility.”
To answer this question by saying its none of anyone’s business is bull$hit. Now it may well be the case that it is none of our business how Frau Clinton personally reacted to the Lewinsky debacle, whether Bill had to sleep on the sofa for a while, etc. And it perhaps should not have been a public issue to begin with who Herr Clinton was sleeping with or whatever. But the question as reported here was whether those Lewinsky things were damaging to Frau Clinton’s credibility. And that certainly seems to be an open question and one that is not personal. It isn’t asking for personal details; rather, it is asking what effect known personal details (whether they should have been known or not) have had on Frau Clinton’s credibility. Further, it isn’t asking whether those details SHOULD have had any effect, but whether they actually did.
Some horses have been beaten to death. If the audience member can’t ascertain on his own whether Hill’s credibility has taken a hit due to Lewinskygate, then he needs to buy a dog and name it “Clue.” Besides, Chelsea is perhaps the least credible source on the planet regarding this issue.
She’s campaigning, so what do you think, jackass…he even admitted that he asked the question with the intention that it would be a softball.
If anything, Hill has gained legions of support because “she’s so strong.” Yes, and so is the Governator.
Stupid question. Predictable (albeit logically evasive) answer. Next.
I don’t know if it was a stupid question–it seems more like a malicious question intended to make her uncomfortable and to keep the spotlight on that dead, beaten, mauled, bloody, festering, putrid horse, thereby keeping the tarnish, such that it is, on the Clinton name. Maybe it’s “another” (?) instance of the “media’s” bias for Obama–I don’t know. Nevertheless her answer is irritating insofar as it is not only evasive but just wrong in regard to Mrs. Clinton’s credibility being none of our business (Again it was malicious in that we don’t need to hear from Chelsea in order to figure it out).
Anyway, I can’t believe Spanky said “NOBODY DIED WHEN CLINTON LIED!” Did he steal that from the Iowa City protesters (who apparently don’t have day jobs) or did they steal it from him?
I’m pretty sure he stole it from the bottom of several pitchers of Bass Ale.
Ah, but I don’t think she was saying that Hill’s credibility is nobody else’s business…but that whether the scandal tarnished her credibility, now that’s nobody’s business at this point….or at least the town idiot should be able to figure it out without injecting ONE MORE reference to Monica in a Q&A with hundreds of people. We’re *trying* to have a debate here, people. Hillary’s credibility in general is certainly at issue. But that question is akin to asking if the economy is still struggling…after the crash of 1929. I still like her answer, even if it wasn’t exactly perfect.
I should clarify that I was calling the person who asked the question a “jackass” and not Dr. Wrisley. Switching from 2nd person to 3rd person mid-thought is not a good idea.
Bro Taguchi, no worries–I knew you wouldn’t call me a jackass–perhaps others might, but not you.
This is pretty funny–the cash part is really at the end with the exploding heads:
